Organization Overview
Caring for the world, one person at a time, Johnson & Johnson is one of the world’s largest, broadly-based healthcare companies founded in 1886 that develops medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods. 

This position is within the medical devices business, where Johnson and Johnson is the second largest medical device company in the world. The organizations is founded by innovation and science to improve the lives of and care for their patients and serve with their Credo values at the forefront. 

Intern Responsibilities:

Digital and Multi-channel Marketing Intern
There are two projects that the internship will focus on:
Project 1:
Within the new Medical Devices Regulation (MDR) there is a mandate to make certain product information directly available to patients. The intern would need to investigate the boundaries of this direct engagement with patients, what competitors are doing and if the digital experience provided to patients could be turned into a competitive advantage.
The project would consist of:
  • Define scope and regulation – what is required, what is possible?
  • Analysis of what our company is doing to address these requirements.
  • Research what is the competition doing to address these requirements.
  • Form recommendation 
Methodologies:
Desk-top research, interviews with relevant internal departments EMEA (e.g. regulatory; legal; MDR coordinators; website owners);

Project 2:
The organization has gained more insights about how health care providers behave in communication channels, but hardly any information about the behavior of non-clinical stakeholders (heads of purchasing departments, buyers, insurance companies, administration in hospital/clinics/CEOs of clinics) in communication channels for professional reasons.
The project would consist of:
  • Define customer profile(s)
  • Research preferred channels (f2f and digital)
  • Research what information they seek to find in these channels
  • Research what topics/influencers have most engagements.
  • Form recommendation
Methodologies:
Desk-top research, interviews with relevant internal departments EMEA (e.g. Services & Solutions team); interviews with non-clinical stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Integrate into customer's (franchise's) business environment to effectively lead project while building positive professional relationships with associates.
  • Define project objectives, requirements, and assumptions necessary to structure a project and activity.
  • Plan, schedule, execute and control project activities to fulfill objectives and satisfy project requirements.
    • Lead, coordinate, facilitate, and motivate all associated project resources to gain alignment on project goals and deliverables.
    • Facilitate and lead effective project meetings and develop resource planning estimates to manage project workload and productivity.
    • Actively interact and connect with all stakeholders that are relevant for a successful project outcome
  • Translate findings into an actionable recommendation.
  • Presenting the findings and outcomes to the EMEA marketing group.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate candidates preferably in communications, digital marketing, business administration.  
Experience or training in project management is a plus.
