SuperFuds

Organization Overview
SuperFuds is the largest health food provider in Colombia. SuperFuds connects suppliers with customers and businesses throughout Colombia & Latin America. They supply over 300 organic natural and organic products and represent over 40 different brands. They have already won three national awards and were selected by iNNpulsa Colombia (a government department that promotes business growth) to participate in Mass Challenge, the world's largest emerging-market accelerator. SuperFuds has recently expanded their operations to Mexico, and they continually promote a healthy lifestyle through educational processes via social media.

Office environment and team information: Start-up, young and energetic. Team of 20.

Intern Responsibilities:

1. Finance Intern
The IIP intern will support the Finance team. This will involve activities including, but not limited to:
  • Support the team in producing quartecasts for investors and potential investors
  • Participate in larger macro and micro economic analysis of factors that drive business
  • Interns will work on day to day financial tasks as well as projects assigned by the department
  • Provide financial support to the finance team
  • Analyze and validate financial information for monthly consolidated reporting to CEO
  • Perform analysis or various special projects as assigned (i.e. account analysis, process improvement, systems enhancement, etc.)

  • Spanish language skills (lower-intermediate level).


2. Software Development Intern
The IIP intern will work with the Software Development team. This will involve activities including, but not limited to:

  • Contribute to the software development lifecycle (front-end, back-end or full-stack)
  • Contribute to the develop and maintenance of their bran new e-commerce website
  • Analyse data structures and algorithms
  • Use one or more programming languages (Java, C, Python, C++, etc.)
  • Develop software using programs similar to Java, Java Script, HTML/CSS, SQL, Frameworks
  • Participate as an active member of the SuperFuds team to develop and support complex systems
  • Identify and improve pain points in daily workflow of team
  • Apply best coding practices and standards
