Mi Águila

Organization Overview
M Águila is a multi-million-dollar technology start-up company that was among the top 50 start-ups selected as an enterprise with the most global impact, according to INC. Magazine (one of the most globally recognized entrepreneurship magazines). They are well established across Colombia’s major cities such as Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Cartagena, and Barranquilla, and have also received international recognition and funding from some of the most well-known venture capital funds in Silicon Valley. Their application is available on the App Store and Google Play, and is exclusively accessible to corporate clients in Colombia.

Office Environment and Team Information: Two-floor office space, with a team of 40. Very sociable, young and energetic. 

Intern Responsibilities:

1. Marketing & Brand Management Intern
The IIP intern will support the Marketing & Sales team. This will involve activities including, but not limited to:
  • Assist the team in Client Relationship Management
  • Identify opportunities for growth and prospective clients
  • Assist in the development and management of the brand
  • Attend meetings with current clients and/or prospective clients
  • Conduct research into audience, industry, market, competitor and technology trends
  • Participate in qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to build understanding of clients
  • Analyze current customer experiences through interviews, usability studies, and data to define friction points to help create seamless and effortless experiences
Qualifications:

  • Proactive and diligent in their work
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Resourceful and self-sufficient
  • Pay careful attention to detail
  • Cultural emotional intelligence

  • Spanish language skills (Lower-Intermediate Level).


2. Finance Intern
The IIP intern will support the Finance & Operations team. This will involve activities including, but not limited to:
  • Support the team in producing quarterly investment reports in English
  • Support the team in producing financial forecasts for investors and potential investors
  • Participate in larger macro and micro economic analysis of factors that drive business
  • Interns will work on day to day financial tasks as well as ad hoc projects assigned by the department

3. Software Development Intern
The IIP intern will work with the Software Development team. This will involve activities including, but not limited to:
  • Contribute to the software development lifecycle (front-end, back-end or full-stack)
  • Analyse data structures and algorithms
  • Use one or more programming languages (Java, C, Python, C++, etc.)
  • Develop software using programs similar to Java, Java Script, HTML/CSS, SQL, Frameworks
  • Participate as an active member of the Mí Águila team to develop and support complex systems
  • Identify and improve pain points in daily workflow of team
  • Apply best coding practices and standards
