Program Description:
Camara Uruguaya de Tecnologias de la Informacion (CUTI)

Organization Overview
CUTI is the association of Information Technology and Communication (ITC) companies in Uruguay. It is a nonprofit, private entity, founded in 1989. Currently composed of more than 350 companies that offer products and services to more than 52 markets, its mission is to promote the development and growth of Uruguay’s technology industry.

Intern Responsibilities:

Marketing & Writing Intern
The IIP intern will carry out a survey and develop success stories of Uruguayan ITC companies. The work will involve identifying success stories of national companies with respect to their business practices, internationalization processes, and implementation of solutions. The IIP intern should gather knowledge from the national ITC companies and carry out fieldwork through personalized interviews with relevant businessmen in order to develop the cases. These should have a written component, preferably in English and Spanish, and a multimedia component. The product to be delivered will be approximately twenty documented cases during the duration of the internship. These inputs will be the basis for a subsequent international dissemination work carried out by CUTI and will be published on the local and international web portal, both by CUTI and by the participating companies. This project offers the intern an exciting opportunity to get to speak with leaders in the ITC field and learn from their stories, while creating a powerful collection of case studies to help to further position Uruguay as a leader in ITC.

Qualifications:
The candidate should possess skills in planning, oral and written communication, design of analysis cases, and management of multimedia tools for video development. This is a great fit for cadidates interested in startups and technology.
Advanced Spanish required.

This internship is offered in collaboration with Puentes Abroad. In the internship through Puentes, interns will undertake project-based work that is designed to directly contribute to one of the internship site’s key work areas so that they gain real experience and know-how through substantial, mission-driven work.  The internships are overseen by Puentes and are complemented by homestay housing.
