ActionAid Brasil

Organization Overview
ActionAid is an international non-governmental organization whose primary aim is to work against poverty and injustice worldwide. ActionAid is a federation of 45 country offices that works with communities, often via local partner organizations, on a range of development issues.

Intern Responsibilities:

Fundraising Intern
ActionAid Brasil is open to a high performing IIP intern interested in collaborating in the following areas/tasks:
  • Assist with implementing fundraising solicitations;
  • Participate in donor appreciation efforts;
  • Verify/update contact information for donors
  • Use Internet and other resources to conduct research on individual donors and foundations;
  • Organize and compile research findings for use by development staffers;
  • Other development tasks and support as needed;
  • Participate within brainstorming sessions for innovations within fundraising

There might be a visit to a local partner in São Paulo or the Northeast of Brazil.

The organization seeks a proactive candidate with strong strategic thinking and outstanding teamwork abilities. We expect the IIP intern to be interested in and have some familiarity with the area of Marketing and Public Relations. Familiarity with fundraising is a plus.

This placement is offered in collaboration with Veredas Institute.
