IEEM Business School

Organization Overview
The mission of the IEEM Business School is to train responsible leaders who contribute to the integral development of society, through quality and demanding teaching, supported by the investigation of the problems inherent in the management of organizations. IEEM is a top business school in Uruguay and is a part of the Universidad de Montevideo. Within the IEEM Business School, the IEEM Center for Economics, Society, and Business focuses on research, teaching, and dissemination of those aspects of the economy and society that have a direct impact on decision making. The IEEM has always placed special emphasis on the relationship of the company with society and, consequently, with the economy of a country. The Center combines in its research the impact of economic and social phenomena on Uruguayan companies. In this way, the Center regularly monitors the evolution of the main macroeconomic variables of Uruguay and has an active presence in the media. At the same time, relevant social aspects for Uruguayan companies such as criminality and education are also under the microscope of the Center.
