The Innovation Think Tank (ITT) at Siemens Healthineers was launched in 2008 and has since established a global infrastructure of 21 locations in Germany, the UK, China, USA, India, Turkey, and the UAE. The ITT has filed over 500 inventions and patents, led 2200 projects, and hosted 2500 researchers and students from 150 universities. ITT works on a wide range of project categories including: market analysis strategy; open innovation; organizational development; customer engagement; technology scouting; product definition and product design; rapid prototyping, 3D modeling, and visualization.  

Intern Responsibilities:

Internship at Innovation Think Tank 
The Innovation Think Tank offers interns an opportunity to work on innovative projects in the field of medical technology, engaging interdisciplinary teams from all over the world. The IIP intern's tasks will include working in an interdisciplinary project team in one or more areas related to medical technology:
  • Requirement engineering
  • Product design/definition
  • Model experimentation
  • 3-D modelling/rapid prototyping
  • Competitive intelligence analysis

Qualifications:
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of German is desirable.
  • Open-minded and interested in solving real world problems in the field of medical technology.
  • Ability to work in an intercultural and interdisciplinary team.
  • Major in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Graphic Design, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc.
  • Previous working experience is preferred.
  • Sophomores and Juniors are encouraged to apply.

If you are enrolled in the Global Health Program certificate, this internship will fulfill the GHP internship requirement.
