Organization Overview
NXTP Ventures is an early stage investment fund, with a focus on technology startups that are pursuing global or regional opportunities in Latin America. NXTP aims to provide seed funding, hands-on advice, and access to a top-notch network of mentors and entrepreneurs across Latin America, Europe, and the United States. It is currently investing out of its second fund a US$45 million vehicle that will invest in the regions’ most promising, high impact entrepreneurs. The IIP intern will work in Research and Analysis and/or Communications and Social Media.

Intern Responsibilities:

1. Research and Analysis Intern
The IIP intern will run prospecting efforts and conduct research on technology startups in the region and compile a list of the most promising opportunities. Research will focus on key investment considerations, such as market analysis, impact potential, sector, founder background, and product feasibility. The intern will prepare investment briefs to share with the selection committee in order to help guide decisions on which startups NXTP should consider.

Qualifications:
Experience in marketing, economics, and engineering would be a plus.
Minimum Spanish level required: Basic


2. Communications and Social Media Intern
The IIP intern will work on marketing and communications projects in order to promote NXTP’s work in the Latin America region. A focus will be placed on social media, online marketing, and outreach to potential partners in the countries in which NXTP works.

Qualifications:
Experience in marketing, economics, and engineering would be a plus.
Minimum Spanish level required: Basic


This internship is offered in collaboration with Puentes Abroad. In the internship through Puentes, interns will undertake project-based work that is designed to directly contribute to one of the internship site’s key work areas so that they gain real experience and know-how through substantial, mission-driven work.  The internships are overseen by Puentes and are complemented by homestay housing.
