WillDom

Organization Overview

WillDom is a regional network of skilled developers who work remotely with elite clients in the United States. The company’s formula is based on:
  • Top remote engineers: Clients can tap into the best talent pool in and outside of the U.S., in order to grow their teams with quality developers.
  • Business flexibility: Developers are ready to join full-time and are billed on a monthly basis, with a 100% client satisfaction policy.
  • The Latin America experience: Talented software engineers who speak the client’s language and are able to work with the client in a shared time zone.
  • The composition of the team is a reflection of the company’s core values and an integral part of clients’ satisfaction.

Intern Responsibilities:

#1. Business Development Intern
Initially, the IIP intern will be coached on how WillDom runs the business, the different areas the company covers, and how each area is deeply related with the others to achieve success (Sales, Recruiting, Operations).  After getting an initial idea of the business, the intern will be introduced to the sales area of the company, how it was built, how it operates, and how it is envisioned to work in the future.

The objective from this point on is for the IIP intern to start taking responsibilities in the sales department, helping the team and gaining autonomy as he or she progresses and feels comfortable.  Ideally the intern will work in a sales vertical.  An example of this can be identifying potential clients through social networks (Angel List, Crunch Base, LinkedIn) and creating direct campaigns to introduce the company and explore if it is a fit to their needs. At first the IIP intern will work “behind the scenes,” but as they get more confident and because of their native English speaking capabilities, the intern will be able to have interactions with potential clients.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will be interested in the tech ecosystem and the entrepreneurial environment and have some technical skills and ease of use of technology tools, which will help to speed up the on-boarding and day-to-day work. It is also a plus to have experience interacting with clients, selling ideas, and leading teams.
Minimum Spanish level required: None

2. Communications & Social Media Intern
Initially, the IIP intern will be coached on how WillDom is run, the different areas the company covers and how each area is deeply related with the others to achieve success (Sales, Recruiting, Operations). After getting an initial idea of the business, the IIP intern will be introduced to the marketing area of the company, how it was built, how it operates, and how it is envisioned to work in the future. The marketing area has been particularly underdeveloped in the past, so there are many things and opportunities to help here, from exploring how to communicate in specific social networks, to helping in the creation of campaigns including many integrated areas (like websites, landings, Twitter, Facebook, ads).

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will be interested in the tech ecosystem and the entrepreneurial environment and have some technical skills and ease of use of technology tools, which is really important since marketing is all about interacting and connecting systems.
Minimum Spanish level required: None

This internship is offered in collaboration with Puentes Abroad. In the internship through Puentes, interns will undertake project-based work that is designed to directly contribute to one of the internship site’s key work areas so that they gain real experience and know-how through substantial, mission-driven work.  The internships are overseen by Puentes and are complemented by homestay housing.
