Intern Responsibilities: 

1. Business Development Intern
The IIP intern will participate in strategic design projects, in order to solve a business challenge or to generate innovation for a client organization through the application of design thinking.  The tasks may include: survey of objectives, needs and business context; analysis of information and data about the business ecosystem; research with potential addressees to understand their behavior, needs, and constraints; participation in strategic design workshops to devise solutions or to select the solutions to be implemented; evaluation of solutions prototypes with the addressees; and assisting senior designers in their roles.
 
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience in innovation, design, UX, CX, research, evaluation, project management, and/or business development.
Minimum Spanish level required: Advanced


2. Graphic and Web Design Intern
The IIP intern will participate in User Experience (UX) projects, in order to evaluate, improve, or design digital products from scratch (applications, internal systems, mobile, web, etc.). The tasks may include: survey of objectives, needs, and business context; analysis of information and data about the product ecosystem; research with current or potential users to understand their behavior, needs, and constraints; participation in UX design workshops to devise solutions or to select the solutions to be implemented; design of the interaction and general experience of the products; prototypes for new solutions; design for the style of the products (visual design); evaluation of prototypes and current products via usability testing; assessment of the usability of digital products with heuristic evaluation; and assisting senior designers in their roles.

The ideal candidate will have experience in innovation, design, UX, CX, research, evaluation, project management, and/or business development.
Minimum Spanish level required: Advanced


3. Research and Analysis Intern
The IIP intern will participate in research projects to explore a domain, a population, or a subject in order to gain insights, usually to inform design projects. The tasks may include: survey of objectives, needs, and business context; analysis of existing information and data about the subject matter; design of the research activities, instruments, and sample population; implementation of in-depth interviews, observation, and other research activities; report on the findings for research activities; and assisting senior designers in their roles.

Qualifications: 
The ideal candidate will have experience in innovation, design, UX, CX, research, evaluation, project management, and/or business development.
Minimum Spanish level required: Advanced


This internship is offered in collaboration with Puentes Abroad. In the internship through Puentes, interns will undertake project-based work that is designed to directly contribute to one of the internship site’s key work areas so that they gain real experience and know-how through substantial, mission-driven work.  The internships are overseen by Puentes and are complemented by homestay housing.
