Organization Overview:
Villgro is India’s oldest and one of the world’s largest social enterprise incubators. Villgro supports innovative enterprises that solve critical issues faced by the poor. They provide funds (grant/equity), mentors, networks and resources to innovative social enterprises in sectors such as education, health, agriculture and energy. Since their inception in 2001, Villgro has incubated over 279 social enterprises with seed funding of INR 573 million. These social enterprises have generated 3500+ jobs and secured INR 1796 million in follow-on funding to impact over 19 million lives. Villgro is focused on solving some of India’s most critical problems through market-based models. Villgro inspires, mentors, funds and incubates innovative social enterprises in four sectors across India: education (includes skill training), healthcare, agriculture and energy.

#1. Health Incubation Intern:
This project would be ideal for interns interested in healthcare/ med-tech, startup ecosystem and impact investing. IIP interns must demonstrate strong communication skills - both written and oral.

#4. Agribusiness Intern
Interns with an interest in sales strategy and marketing, market research, and keen to learn about building network of business experts should consider this position.

Qualifications: Strong critical thinking skills, interest in investing and market research from an impact investment perspective. Strong desire to learn is more critical than a specific academic background. Candidates wit interest in sales strategy, marketing, market research, and keen interest in building network of business experts, are welcome to apply. Course work in Education or finance would be beneficial, but not required.

#5. MTAP/ Monitoring & Evaluation Intern
  • Impact data collection and validation
  • Research and write publishable impact case studies on Villgro Incubatees
Qualifications: Research methodology and design, and data analysis skills required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PPT. Report writing skills. Any Indian language(s) experience would be an asset but not required.
