Stavros Niarchos Foundation

Organization Overview
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation is one of the world’s leading private international philanthropic organizations, making grants in the areas of arts and culture, education, health and sports, and social welfare. The Foundation funds organizations and projects that are expected to achieve a broad, lasting and positive impact for society at large, and exhibit strong leadership and sound management. The Foundation also seeks actively to support projects that facilitate the formation of public-private partnerships as an effective means for serving public welfare.

Intern Responsibilities:

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation approach is to involve the IIP intern in all work processes and treat them as an integral part of the Foundation, where they will have the chance to learn and acquire various skills as well as to contribute to the Foundation's work. The intern will be involved in all aspects of the grant evaluation and implementation process and will gain an invaluable experience of the workings of the world of philanthropy, both in Greece and worldwide, in all four program areas. The internship will include a series of visits to grantee sites in order to experience firsthand the value and impact of some of the Foundation's most important grants.
