Phaung Daw Oo Monastic Education High School
About: Founded in 1993, the Phaung Daw Oo Monsatic Education High School offers education to children who are denied access to the most basic education services. The school offers primary, middle, and high school classes, as well as pre-college English classes to all of their students. Phaung Daw Oo Monsatic Education High School is a non-governmental organization that specifically looks to help children from poor families, as well as orphans and neglected and abused children from all different ethnicities of Myanmar.  The school caters to about 7,000 children, with a staff of 412 teachers. The school manages small income generation activities such as carpentry, tailoring, offset printing, microcredit banking, and computer training. 

Intern Responsibilities: The IIP interns will be able to choose to work on a variety of projects, including curriculum development for English classes, teaching staff English classes, and helping pre-college students with SAT preparation. 

Qualifications: IIP candidates with interests in education are encouraged to apply. Teaching experience would be an asset.
