Program Description:
Driven Entrepreneurs
Driven Entrepreneurs is a social enterprise focused on offering entrepreneurship development programs to youth and program design to corporations. Driven Entrepreneurs aims to be a leading entrepreneur development company, supporting the efforts of entrepreneurs throughout Africa, providing access to entrepreneurial opportunities through tailored programs. Their company delivers customized entrepreneurial to in secondary schools, communities, in addition and incubating youth from low income areas across Africa. Driven aims to impact the youth and adults across South Africa and Africa by transforming their entrepreneurial mind set, enabling them to take ownership of their future. IIP interns will in learn about social innovation, entrepreneurship, education and community empowerment. 

Intern responsibilities: IIP interns will be working on either or both of the following projects:
  • Business System Development: Driven Entrepreneurs is developing an increasing number of training programs in addition to school programs and the organization seeks to systematize its operations to avoid operational bottlenecks and over reliance on key personnel. The IIP interns will analyze the current system and identify the areas of inefficiencies, develop and document improvements to the current systems, identify tech tools to aid efficiencies and test the new systems with Driven
  • Innovation and Technology Strategy: Driven does not have a formalized policy for its technology and innovation plan and the organization seeks to develop such policy to enable Driven to participate in the tech space. The IIP interns will research data trends on the use of technology in the development space, in particular entrepreneurship education (Ex: reports from authoritative institutions such as the World Bank, ILO, WEF etc..), identify and map out future trends and scenario for entrepreneurship education and identify the technologies and innovations Driven can invest in.
Qualifications: IIP candidates with interests in business development, community empowerment, education, and entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply.
