Program Description:
Central de Ofertas (IIP-IN Argentina, Puentes Abroad)
About: The mission of Central de Ofertas is to create an online platform for small business owners to offer product discounts directly to consumers, thus empowering the smaller operators and helping open the market for discounts.  The founders of this tech startup have worked in the massive consumer goods industry for over ten years, and they saw the untapped resource of the small business discounts, since the majority of Argentines shop at smaller kiosks, corner stores, and local supermarkets, instead of large superstores or major retailers.  Central de Ofertas is housed in the InBev offices, since this major beverage company is an important investor of the startup.

Intern responsibilities: The Business Analyst will work with the company founders to manage weekly discount offers and analyze the profit margin of these offers to ensure the company’s profitability and growth.  If the intern has proficient Spanish, he or she will also be able to meet with small business owners in Buenos Aires to evaluate their possible participation in the Central de Ofertas platform. The Community Manager intern will work on key projects to promote the company and the platform.  The focus will be on Facebook, Google, and digital marketing outreach to increase user base and brand recognition.

Qualifications: IIP candidates with interests in economics, engineering, business, technology, or marketing are encouraged to apply.  Analytical problem solvers are ideal.  Basic Spanish is recommended for the Business Analyst internship.  Spanish fluency required for the Community Management internship.
