Program Description:
Alquilando (Puentes Abroad)
About: Alquilando is an Argentine tech startup company that is revolutionizing the way long-term residential properties are rented in Buenos Aires.  Its online platform offers tools and technical solutions to real-estate issues by servicing both the property owner and the renter. Similar to AirBnB, Alquilando has improved and modernized renting, making it faster, cheaper, safer, and more transparent but, instead, specializes in long-term renting contracts as opposed to short-term or holiday bookings.  The small, professional team promises high-quality services, quick turn around, and efficient online tools. The Alquilando team assists in matching renters with their dream house, matching property owners with vetted renters, and streamlining the bureaucratic, legal, and logistical processes that go into such contracts. Alquilando will provide close mentorship by the co-founders of the company, an opportunity to become immersed in the real-estate industry and the tech startup sector, and a chance to put technical skills into practice.

Intern responsibilities: Alquilando offers internships in four areas: real-estate management, risk management, digital marketing and community management, and graphic / web design.
  • The Real-Estate Management intern will assist with customer support, visit and photograph new properties, and generate website content for new real-estate listings.
  • The Risk Management intern will work directly with the company’s co-founder and gain hands-on experience with risk management analysis in the Argentine real-estate context in order to help with the selection process of perspective clients and improve the platform and operational system.
  • The Digital Marketing and Community Management intern will create weekly marketing campaigns, communicate with users, perform operational tasks to help promote the company, recruit new users, and create a strong brand recognition.
  • The Graphic Design and Web Design intern will work on graphic design projects and assist with website coding in order to improve the website’s user interface and to increase the number of users.
Qualifications: IIP interns with interests in entrepreneurship, marketing, real estate, and business development are encouraged to apply.  Experience in software engineering, coding, and risk analysis would be additional assets. Intermediate Spanish is required.
