Program Description:
NXTP Labs (IIP-IN Argentina, Puentes Abroad)
NXTP Labs is an early stage investment fund with an acceleration program. We focus on technology startups that are pursuing global or regional opportunities in Latin America. We provide seed funding, consulting services, hands-on advice, training and, most importantly, access to a top-notch network of mentors and entrepreneurs across Latin America, Europe and the US.  With operations in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay, NXTP Labs is the most active early-stage fund for tech companies in Latin America. It has developed and implemented an innovative accelerating program which provides young entrepreneurs with seed funding plus infrastructure, training, mentoring and interactive marketing services. It also assists entrepreneurs with the plan, the prototype, the business system, the marketing and the growth strategy. Once the company has found their first break-even point and starts to make money, NXTP helps them to go even further to open new business operations in different countries. With strong digital business know-how, rich regional business experience, and relevant international contacts, NXTP has succeeded in generating many high value-added technological companies.  It partners with teams from more than 15 countries, and has invested in more than 160 companies in just over 4 years of operations.  It has financial backing from the Mexican and Argentine governments and a 10 million dollar credit line.
Intern Responsibilities:  The Investment Research Analyst will conduct research on technology startup companies that are applying to be a part of NXTP’s accelerator program.  Research will focus on key investment considerations, such as market analysis, impact potential, stakeholders, and product feasibility.  The intern will prepare investment briefs to share with the selection committee in order to help guide decisions on which startups are invited to participate in the accelerator program.  The Communications Intern will work on marketing and communications projects in order to promote NXTP’s work in the Latin America region.  A focus will be placed on social media, online marketing, and outreach to potential partners in the countries in which NXTP works.  The Event Management Intern will help to conceptualize, plan, and implement events on startups, technology, and investment in Latin America.
Qualifications: IIP candidates interested in startups, technology, and entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply. Experience in marketing, economics, and engineering would be an asset.  Basic Spanish is recommended.
