IIP-Futuros Profesionales Integrar (IIP-IN Argentina, Puentes Abroad)
About: Futuros Profesionales Integrar is a non-government, not-for-profit organization that provides tertiary education opportunities to under-resourced students in Argentina. The organization’s aim is to promote personal and professional development through a dedicated mentorship program and a tutoring program. Integrar guides its students throughout the process of choosing a fitting school and program, allocates scholarships and financial assistance when needed, and provides vocational training workshops.

Intern Responsibilities: The IIP intern will take on the International Cooperation Project within the Fundraising Department.  The aim of the project will be to detect and analyze possible international sources of funding for the organization’s Scholarship Program.  This will require a systematic review of existing foundations, agencies, and institutions that grant funding for nonprofits like Integrar in order to identify possible donors for Integrar.  The intern will then also work together with the program directors to craft grant proposals, including a description of the current state of education and socioeconomic factors in Argentina, a description of Integrar’s work and impact, and the project plan for implementation and evaluations.  The goal of the intern’s project is to help Integrar increase and diversify its funding, thus allowing greater impact in its work.  There is also the possibility that the intern will be able to work together with the education program staff to help implement tutoring programs for under-resourced youth.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have great interpersonal skills, will be proactive, and will share the mission of the organization.  This is a great opportunity for IIP candidates interested in education, nonprofit management and fundraising, and youth programs.  Advanced Spanish is required to be able to integrate with the staff and undertake project work.
