Zay Ta Wun School
About:
Zay Ta Wun School is the elementary/middle school at the Zay Ta Wun Monastery. The school serves under-privileged youth in the New Bagan regio of Myanmar. IIP interns will have a translator, an assistant teacher who works at the school, and the main English teacher as co-workers.

Intern Responsibilities: IIP interns will teach grades 3-7 and create lesson plans. The interns will also share knowledge on academic subjects including English, Mathematics, PE, and Drawing. They will be working with a translator and fellow teachers to teach the students.

Qualifications: IIP candidates with interest in teaching English, Mathematics, PE, and Drawing are encouraged to apply. Teaching experience would be an asset but is not required.

Previous work responsibilities in the words of a past IIP intern: I taught grades 3 through 7, basically making my own lesson plans. I had a translator, a "helper teacher" who works at the school, and the main English teacher sometimes also contributed.
