About: Clinica Dentária do Estoril believes that oral health care deserves your full attention at any age, from child to adult. Their services and specialties include: oral surgery, dentistry, endodontics, dental aesthetics, implantology, occlusion, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, periodontics, fixed prosthodontics, removable prosthesis, oral prevention, rehabilitation, dental bleaching, dental aesthetics, oral hygiene, RX panoramic, and fissure sealants.
Intern Responsibilities: IIP interns will rotate/shadow the following professionals: general dentists, a prosthodontist, an endodontist, periodontists, an orthodontist, and potentially a hospital-based oral surgeon. The intern may also be trained as a dental assistant.
Qualifications: Students interested in public health, medicine, and dentistry should apply. Work responsibilities will depend on classes taken and general knowledge and experience in these fields. Basic Portuguese and/or Spanish skills would be an asset.
Previous work responsibilities in the words of a past IIP intern: I got great experience with all the dental specialties. I was trained as a dental assistant....Having new patients come in and seeing how a treatment plan is developed, and then being with them as the visit all the different specialists was a great experience. I got to see how dentistry as a whole and completely change someones oral and systemic health.
