The Health Scholars Program
Princeton’s prestigious Health Scholars Program provides outstanding students with funding for travel and research to pursue global health-related internships and senior thesis research, plus personalized faculty support and a collegial environment. The program is open to students from all departments.
Up to six juniors are selected each year as Health Scholars through an application and interview process that focuses on academic performance and on plans for work and research on global health issues. Health Scholars are guaranteed full financial support for health-related internships or independent research on global health in the summer before the senior year.
The Health Scholars receive special guidance and support from Princeton faculty and researchers, attend periodic dinner sessions, and interact with and learn from global health-minded students from other disciplines. They can be offered special support for attending or presenting at global health conferences, and may have special opportunities to interact with distinguished campus visitors.
The application requires a resume, unofficial transcript, faculty recommendation letter, and completed questionnaire with brief essay responses. The application deadline is November 14, 2022.
