International Internship Program
PRINCETON IN FRANCE
Princeton in France (PIF) offers a variety of internships both in Paris and in the regional cities. Every summer since 1954, Princeton in France (PIF) has sent 20-25 Princeton University undergraduates to France--not as tourists or language students, but as trainees (or, stagiaires). The mission of the PIF program is to introduce students to French culture. Students work side by side with French colleagues, speaking their language and sharing their daily routine. Participants undergo a maturing experience, rich in educational benefits, and often have one of the best, and most memorable, summers of their lives.
PIF offers a variety of internships both in Paris and in the regional cities. Typical assignments are in music festivals, universities, museums, public relations companies, publishing companies,or multinational corporations. Applicants are invited to specify their interests and skills. PIF does its best to match applicants with placements that fit their interests and skills; however, student should be flexible about geographical location and work assignment.
Note: IIP listings in France are for a minimum of eight weeks and focus on providing students with a professional experience in an area of their interest. PIF placements range from four to six weeks and aim to provide students with exposure to French culture and society. PIF students apply to the program, not to specific placements.
