About: Joint US-China Collaboration on Clean Energy (JUCCCE)  is a non-profit organization accelerating the greening of China for a healthier world. JUCCCE leverages  government channels, international networks, and generous contributions from corporate and individual contributors to make a big impact on key drivers of energy such as urbanization, industry, and consumption. In the past 10 years, JUCCCE has already helped catalyze key tipping points in China through initiatives such as Smart Grid and Energy Efficient Lighting. JUCCCE's unique strength is their ability to convene and activate high-level influencers across all sectors. JUCCCE works to create systemic change in sustainable cities, sustainable consumerism and smart grid, and is noted for its multi-sector convening power. JUCCCE staff members are part of a large, global family of contributors who care about creating a healthier world. JUCCCE's Current Initiative addresses food education and is entitled "JUCCCE Food Heroes."

  • JUCCCE’s Food Heroes is a proprietary play-based food education program that aims to change the way people eat, in a way that is good for them and good for the planet. The Food Heroes behavior change system is a combination of classroom activities, events, and home engagement. Food Heroes provide their parents tools for better parenting around diet. Food Heroes turns nutrition and sustainability knowledge into kidspeak for children ages 3-9 years old to bring actionable knowledge down to level of every bite. Food Heroes characters create an emotional connection of kids to teach them that sharing good food is sharing love. Bilingual, kid-tested, games teach food literacy, healthy diet basics, and impact of food on the world. Food Heroes know how to grow, prepare and share food with love and respect for both their bodies and their planet.
