ReNew Power Private Limited

Organization Overview:

ReNew Power Private Limited is India’s largest renewable energy IPP (Independent Power Producer) in terms of total energy generation capacity. As of June 2019, ReNew has a total capacity of over 8 GW of wind and solar power assets across the country, comprising 5 GW of operational capacity and 3 GW of under development capacity. ReNew develops, builds, owns and operates utility scale wind and solar energy projects as well as distributed solar energy projects that generate energy for commercial and industrial customers. ReNew has a strong track record of organic and inorganic growth having nearly doubled its operational capacity in each of the last three Fiscal Years. ReNew’s broad base of equity investors include Goldman Sachs, JERA, ADIA, CPPIB, GEF SACEF India, and ADB (subsequently exited).

Intern Responsibilities:

Global Green Scholars Program (GGSP) is one of the flagship programs at ReNew Power. The program was launched in 2017 with an aim to attract bright and passionate talent from top universities across the globe, who are interested in renewable energy and sustainability. Aimed at promoting diversity and exchange of ideas, the program is designed for students with stellar academic and co-curricular record. IIP interns passionate about clean energy & sustainability have an opportunity to work in one of the following areas:
Corporate Finance - Be a part of the team that will be raising new rounds of capital
Strategy - Shadow the CEO and get a high level view on our business operations
Solar and Wind Business Verticals - Roll your sleeves and work on project execution at the ground level, helping us do what we do best -- Build projects
Social Responsibility - Have an opportunity to build communities through projects undertaken in the following areas: 
  • Electrical vehicles
  • Energy storage technologies and commercials
  • Africa & Australia market entry strategy
  • Developing B2B marketing plan for distributed solar business
  • Improving project execution for our wind projects
  • Improving solar module performance

Qualifications: 
Candidates with an outstanding academic record (CGPA of 3.0 and above) currently pursuing their studies in Engineering, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Finance, and Policy Management. Sophomores and Juniors are encouraged to apply. 

This internship is offered in collaboration with Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment.
