Athens Voice Media Company

Organization Overview
Athens Voice is a Media company that includes the printed ATHENS VOICE Newspaper, the digital publication athensvoice.gr, the radio station Athens Voice Radio 102,5 and Athens Voice Books.

Intern Responsibilities:
IIP Intern(s) will be responsible for producing pieces for foreign audiences that travel to Athens in June and July. Under the supervisor’s guidance, the interns will be doing research about the cultural and social life of Athens. Based on that research, they will produce short articles about various cultural events that take place in the city and can be of interest to foreign visitors. Also, they can write about things-to-do in Athens and in nearby areas, places to visit, stories of tourists in Athens, and other relevant issues. Interns are not required to spend time in office. They will be spending time participating in events, observing, and interviewing people in various parts of the city. Their texts will be published in the English online version of the newspaper, as well as on the printed edition of the Best of Athens. All their research and writing will be in English. No knowledge of Greek is required.
 
Qualifications:
Desired Skills: Strong writing ability in English, social communication skills.

This internship is offered in collaboration with Empiria Learning, and may be offered in a remote capacity, if needed.
