PUSH

Organization Overview
PUSH (Persevere Until Something Happens) is a non-profit organization operating from the southern region of Johannesburg to provide “within reach” treatment, support centers and services to meet the needs of the community to fight against the escalating HIV/AIDS pandemic. PUSH’s vision is to be a model service provider contributing to quality of life, including achievement of an HIV/AIDS free generation. PUSH is committed to empowering individuals to take responsibility of their own lives.
As part of Emzingo's leadership and social impact program, interns will consult for the organization while undergoing an intensive leadership and personal development curriculum.

Intern Responsibilities:

In an effort to attract more funding, PUSH would like assistance in the following areas:
  • Website Development: The IIP intern will be working closely with PUSH to update the current website reflecting the impact and purpose driven work. This will also provide the opportunity to attract new donors.
  • Fundraising: The IIP intern will closely study the organizational practices and provide recommendations where necessary to help the organization align with its vision and mission. The intern will be assisting the organization with fundraising activities. Currently, it solely receives funding from the Department of Social Development.

Qualifications:
This internship requires candidates that have a great interest in community development in under-served areas. The nature of the internship seeks knowledge or experience in fundraising, website designing and keen interest in organizational cultural analysis. The candidate should be willing to work in a culturally diverse environment and be willing to embrace uncertainty. Fluency in English required.

If you are enrolled in the Global Health Program certificate, this internship will fulfill the GHP internship requirement.

This placement is offered in collaboration with Emzingo
