CityTaps is a social startup based in Paris. Their vision is to bring running water to every home, for ever. Today, about 750M urban poor lack the basic comfort of running water at home in the developing world. CityTaps believes that running water in the home is a source of health, economic opportunity and dignity, particularly for women and girls who bear the majority of the burden associated with daily water chores. Their solution to this vexing problem has 3 components: new technology, community development, and business innovation. CityTaps believes in questioning assumptions in a respectful, fast-paced, and fun environment. Their company is looking for enthusiastic and hard-working individuals who want to work to serve the poor and make a positive difference in the world.
Intern Responsibilities: IIP interns will work on one or more of the following projects:
- Electronic and software design of a connected water meter - The IIP intern will work closely with the CTO to develop software and electronic components of a new generation robust water metering system targeted at developing country environments.
