About: China Market Research Group (CMR) provides strategic market intelligence to companies entering or expanding operations in China. CMR helps companies get the information needed to make smarter decisions in China. Intern responsibilities: IIP interns will work on projects that include: include due diligence work for Private Equity firms, Mutual Funds, and Hedge Funds, and research and strategy for luxury brands, apparel brands, e-commerce platforms. Past interns have worked on the following projects:
-Market entry strategy and product development for world’s largest packaged seafood company
-Consumer insights and retail strategy for top global luxury brand
-Sales strategy for international defense products company selling to the Chinese government
-Development of new major and recruitment strategy for US University with new campus based in China
-Quarterly evaluation of China auto market for world’s largest mutual fund company.
Qualifications: Candidates should have strong oral Mandarin skills (written Mandarin skills ideal). Familiarity with statistics and data analysis is appreciated. Candidates from all majors and areas of academic interest welcome; skills in MS Powerpoint, MSExcel, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign would be an asset.
